Here are some natural remedies you can try:

Lemon

Wait, what? Doesn’t lemon stain your skin? You might have heard that if your skin comes in contact with lemon or lime and then you expose your skin to sunlight, you’ll get lemon stains. That is true. However, that’s not what we’re suggesting here. Lemon is actually good for the skin when applied properly. It contains vitamin C and other nutrients, and it can help lighten dark spots. Try this:

  • Squeeze some lemon juice
  • Apply on the affected area
  • Leave on for 10-15 mins
  • Rinse off with cold water

When applied daily, your skin will show improvement.

Buttermilk

Besides being a key ingredient in making great pancakes, buttermilk contains lactic acid, which will help exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells to reveal the new skin layer underneath. Plus, it also moisturizes the skin.

  • Put some buttermilk on a cotton ball
  • Apply that onto your sunspots
  • Leave on for a few mins
  • Wash off with water

Green Tea

You can make yourself a cup of this amazing tea any time, which comes with tons of great benefits. The fact that it is rich in antioxidants is not only beneficial to your overall health, but it also can help remove some of the toxins found on the skin.

  • Steep a bag of green tea for about 3 mins
  • Soak a cotton ball in the tea
  • Place directly on your sunspots
